About Trang
Hello there, I'm Trang!
I grew up in a small countryside town in Vietnam, where there was always something to discover outside. I spent much of my childhood surrounded by animals, plants, and all the little things that most people don't stop to notice. Looking back, that's probably where my love for nature began.
I've always been a hobby person. Over the years I've tried all kinds of creative projects, from crocheting and knitting to drawing and even sewing clothes for my dog. If there's an opportunity to make something instead of buying it, I'll usually want to try.
Nature continues to inspire almost everything I make. I love mushrooms, insects, birds, forests, and all the strange little details that make the natural world feel so alive.
Through clay, I get to create pieces inspired by the things I love most. A tiny mushroom growing from the side of a mug. A curious beetle tucked into a handle. Small reminders of the natural world that can live alongside us in everyday life.
Every piece is made by hand, which means no two are ever exactly alike. Each one has its own little differences and character. I think that's part of what makes handmade objects special.
Thank you for being here and taking the time to look at my work. It means a lot to me that something I made with my own hands might become part of someone else's home.
And this is Bruni.
He's a blue and white Italian Greyhound, professional napper, snack inspector, creative director, quality control supervisor, chairman of the board of directors at Trang Studio, and my most beloved companion.
Bruni has been by my side through countless projects over the years. Whether I'm working on pottery, drawing, crocheting, or getting distracted by a brand new hobby, he's usually nearby, curled up in a blanket and keeping me company.
He loves fruit, lettuce, boiled eggs, sunny spots on the floor, and being involved in everyone's business. No boxes or snacks go unsupervised.
Life is a little quieter, warmer, and much more laid back with him around.
